Fus Ro Dah and bacon. Need I say more???
Finally! A Xbox 360 Kinect game that I am really excited for! This game was talked about at this week’s E3 conference and I am really excited! This is the type of game that I have been waiting for on the Kinect and it lends itself really well for the Kinect! If you are a Star Wars fan, this game looks awesome! It’s the closest thing to actually being a Jedi! How cool is that!? Don’t believe that this game will rock? Watch for yourselves! According to IGN’s website, this game is set to release around November/December of this year. I know what I want in my stocking!
What do you think about this game? Also what games would you like to see as Kinect games (ie. Halo, Medal of Honor, Gears….?)
Recently Wii and Netflix paired up to allow Wii users to watch their Netflix Instant Queue on their Wii Console. I have to admit, I was a bit surprized at how much I liked the Wii’s Netflix interface. I do have to admit though, the Xbox 360 is a bit nicer platform for Netflix.
Xbox 360 offers party view mode, and it looks a bit better on screen, as the Xbox 360 upscales to a better picture resolution. Also, you do not need to keep the Netflix disc in the console at all times, like you do with the Wii. The Wii interface is good for kids and and people who may not be the most tech saavy. My 5 year old loves watching movies from in the Instant Queue on the Wii, because it’s easy for her to navigate, whereas the Xbox controller is still a bit confusing for her. Since we don’t have traditional TV (click link for more info) and therefore no Disney Channel, Sophia (5), can watch all the Hannah Montana she wants on the Wii!
All in all, both are good but for different reasons, if you want a better picture and party mode, go with the Xbox, however if you want a more interface friendly version, stick with the Wii.
Don’t you love it when a.) you can’t get to sleep because of a great Xbox game or b.) you wake up and decide to play Xbox at 2am? I sure do. Although I love my Xbox, it has caused many a sleepless nights in my household and there are only two of us that currently play this console! Wait until my daughter is old enough to really game on it!
The days of warm milk and cookies to help you sleep are over, Xbox has soured the milk and burned the cookies for all of us Xbox users. You can usually tell us Xbox insomniacs when we get into to work the next day, you can find us mumbling about the level we were last playing (as if we were still in the game) or you will notice that we absently button mash while at our cubicles. We are also usually equipped with either a Red Bull, RockStar or a seriously huge Mountain Dew and are slugging away at it with no abandon.
So, for all you late night Xbox’ers or PS3′ers, for that matter, I toast you with my Mountain Dew here at 2:30am!
