Homemade Flower Headboard
This homemade headboard made from poster board and fun materials is a great project for any budding artist or wanna-be interior designer! This is a great project for elementary to middle school kids! This great project was found in Family Fun!
While the pattern instructions are for a flower design, any person with a creative flare can change the pattern to suit whatever shape or object they want. I think we might try a crown with my 6 year old!
I can’t wait to start this craft with my kiddo and this could be a great craft as a home school art project or just for a budding artist. By changing up your headboards, this can create a new feel to the room and help foster individuality in a shared bedroom!
Now for the contest part! If you complete this craft with your kids, please send me a photo and the best photo will win a free year of Family Fun Magazine!

Amazon Mom Club is awesome! I just bought a box of Huggies (140 ct) for $25.00 and that included shipping! This is awesome because I don’t have to go to the store anymore to buy diapers or wipes, they come each month for me! Plus for every Amazon Mom purchase you make you get a free month of Amazon Prime (no shipping fees)! It’s a total win-win, plus at Costco at 140 ct box (even with a $5 off coupon, see this month’s coupon book) it’s still $30! So yea Amazon for making moms lives a little easier!
Earth’s Best, makers of healthy and organic baby and toddler foods, have just launched new cleaning products for the nursery! They just released their own laundry detergent and nursery wipes. Earth’s Best has quality foods that are healthy, organic and tasty as well. They also carry a line of Sesame Street endorsed foods and snacks. With two smaller girls in the house, these are a huge hit!
I am looking forward to finding these great prodcuts and tessting them out in our nursery!

Most people who know me know that I try to live a relatively “green” lifestyle. So when a good friend of mine gave me this bottle for Sarah, I knew it would be awesome! I love the Green-To-Grow line! My favorite is the wide necked large bottle. It holds 10 ozs, which is hard to find! Plus, the size of the wide necked bottle is great for Sarah to hold on to, since that is a new skill she is trying to learn!
I also love this company! They have a great program called Bottles to Babies. This is a great program for moms in need of bottle who can’t afford them! I love this program and think it is a great idea to not only recycle your bottles, but knowing that you are helping someone else too!
Do you have issues with losing socks in the wash? I know that I did! No matter how hard I tried, I ALWAYS lost socks in the wash! I would do that particular load, which had both socks when I started the load, only to lose one sock when I pulled everything out of the dryer. I even resorted to looking in the space between the washer and dryer, no such luck.My poor husband was quickly running out of dress socks and I was tired of buying them over and over!
My cousin mentioned safety pinning the socks together and then washing them, well, this worked for one wash. I unpinned the socks, only to find big gaping holes and then would have to throw the socks away. Finally, I decided to buy some small lingerie bags and hang them above our laundry hampers. My fmaily puts their socks in them together and lo and behold, they come out of the wash together. You can typically fit three pairs of adult socks, six pairs of kids socks and countless baby socks and it works!
So, if you are tired of losing socks in the wash, give this a try. Also to find the smaller lingerie bags, try Dollar Tree, that’s where I got mine.
