Thanks to the wonderful world of Google +, I found this great blog by MaryAnn Johnson called Flick Filosopher, in which MaryAnn does movie reviews and commentary for new movies in theater, DVD and etc.
What I like about MaryAnn versus other movie review sites is that she present the information with humor, but also I love her icons on each of the photos of the movie to be reviewed. (Such as skip it, rent it or see it.) I like this because let’s face it, I don’t always have time to read everything I see on the internet, but I like that I can see the icon (especially if it says Skip It) and read the review later.
So far, I have yet to disagree with MaryAnn’s reviews, so that’s pretty nice too! I hate it when you find a review site that feels differently than you about almost every movie out there! What I also enjoy about her blog is the amount of content! If there is a movie to be seen or reviewed, she’s done it!

Dylan Dog is an impartial investigator for all the undead. Dylan’s job: to make sure they all stay in line. This movie is based off the Italian comic by the same name. While at first, I thought this might be bad comic to movie crossover, once I saw the trailer, I changed my mind. This movie looks good! It’s got monsters for everyone: vampires, werewolves, zombies, demons and etc.
It stars Brandon Routh, who you may remember from Superman Returns and Sm Huntington from the movie Fanboys and also starring in the US version of Being Human. So check it out and let me know what you think, I know I’m going to be seeing it!
Colbie Smulders, best known as Robin in How I Met Your Mother, signs on as Maria Hill, former director of S.H.I.E.L.D. I’m looking forward to seeing her on the big screen! I think this just might work, as Colbie plays the Canadian, pistol-packing Robin. Now she’ll be playing the American pistol-packing Maria Hill., not a big stretch, but I think it’s a good casting. What do you think of this match up?
This movie looks like a good origins movie for Professor X and Magneto! I am excited for this movie’s June 3rd release. The only bummer is, why didn’t I hear more about it? Does Marvel not feel like backing this one with all the force of the marketing campaigns of both Captain America and Thor? Anyway, watch and tell me what you think! Let’s hope it better then Wolverine’s Origin movie, because that fell pretty flat.
I am really excited about this casting! Martin Freeman, best known as Arthur Dent in 2005′s The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy has been officially cast to play none other than Bilbo Baggins himself! I am looking forward seeing him portray Bilbo, because he has that self-deprecating sense that really is reminicent to the character. Plus he has a quick wit as does Bilbo Baggins. Can’t wait to see this one, but alas, we will have to wait until 2012!
Also, this just in, David Tennant, aka the 10th (and best) Doctor Who will be donning elvin ears for the role of Thranduil the Elvenking! This is going to be good! I think David will play an exceptional Elvenking, but I have to admit I am a little biased!

It’s official Dark Knight fans, Anne Hathaway has been cast as Miss Selina Kyle, aka Catwoman. Not sure what I think about this one. Hathaway is best known for being typecast as the good girl. (Think The Princess Diaries and Becoming Jane) Does she really have the “claws” to pull this off? While she’s not who I would pick, she might surprise us, we’ll see…
