Help! This mom is sinking!!!

I recently started to read Mom Overboard by Robin Chaddock. I have tried reading this book before, but it just wasn’t the right timing for me to really take in and process the information. Well, now it is. This book gives moms 12 lifesavers for moms who’d rather swim than sink.

Are you feeling the following?

  • Forgetfullness
  • mind/body split
  • Inability to enjoy anything
  • overwhelming need to get away
  • feeling isolated
  • dissatisfaction with life
  • inability to be quiet and still
  • going against your better judgment
  • you are spending more than you make
  • you feel inferior
  • you are angry

If any of these sound like you, then find a copy of this book soon! Robin’s practical guide with discussion questions for you to really dig deep into your personality and psyche and figure out what needs to be changed. Robin also uses the Bible and what God things of us as moms, not what we think which tends to be wrong.

This book will help you change the way you think about yourself and your job as a mother.

The Perfect Stay at Home Mom book

After checking out “The Stay-At-Home Mom Survival Guide“, i am no longer wracked with guilt when I have one of the days. You know, the type of days when you just want to pull out your hair and wish that you had your life back before kids. Let’s face it, every stay at home mom has those days, we may not admit it, but we do.

Melissa Stanton is great at being honest about the issues associated with being a stay at home mom, but also encouraging you that you are not alone and that it can be rewarding. I loved her style because even when she is encouraging, she doesn’t come across as a high school cheerleader on speed! She is practical and honest, which is refreshing.

If you are a stay at home mom and sometimes feel like you are struggling, I would highly suggest checking out this book. I would also suggest checking out a local MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) group. This has been a lifesaver for me and I hope it will help you too! If you look under the Groups tab, you can find a local group.
