So my kick-ass gamer friend, Jessie and I decided that we were going to put together an episode of Guide to Gamers, or whatever we really end up naming our vidcast show. So we had the great idea to go through Mordenkainen’s Magnificent Emporium book from Dungeons & Dragons 4E.
We talk about the cool stuff that we want for our characters, plus some of the funnier (named items) as well. And as per normal in any gamer environment, there are a few dick and fart jokes. (When you are a girl gamer in a predominantly boy gaming world, you learn to throw these out like crazy.)
So, we hope that you enjoy it! (And please keep in mind, this is our first episode! )
Heads up to all my Star Wars nerds! I just received my awesome 9 disc Star Wars Epic on Blu-Ray today and I am loving it! But why, do you ask, should I buy the 9 disc versus just the 6 disc set?
Oh, my fellow Star Warsian, the 6 disc set is not the set you are looking for. (okay, you can laugh now) The extra 3 disc packed full of special features is amazing! I learned more about the Star Wars Universe than I thought possible in the first two special features discs, which show the special features of the movies. The 3rd special features disc is the crown jewel, however. This disc is worth the extra money alone! The documentaries are really interesting and informative, but my all time favorite has to me the 1:37 minutes Star Wars Spoofs reel. This starts out with Weird Al’s Star Wars song, then off to VW Super Bowl Commercial , to the 3 year old explaining Star Wars, to Bill Murray’s Star Wars Lounge Song, plus a million others! You will laugh so hard for so long that you might want to wear a Depends.
The special features are what really sells the 9-disc set. Being that I am special features junkie, I was really glad that I bought this set. I will let you know that so far the cheapest place to pick it up is on Amazon. Walmart and Best Buy (at least our local ones) only sell Episodes 1-3 and Episodes 4-6 as separate sets. Plus, if you are rocking Amazon Prime member, shipping is free!
So if you have the new Star Wars on Blu-Ray, enjoy it! If you don’t, well, pick one up!
Today we (the family and I) spent the day at Emerald City Comicon. We had a great time! I took a lot of great cosplay photos and the costumes were amazing! I also got some great interviews with some really awesome people!
So, as I am now dead on my feet, I will be showcasing the videos and cosplay photos throughout the rest of the weekend and the week!
Some of the people that I interviewed were Adam WarRock, a comic book based hip hop artist! His music rocks! I’m not normally a big hip hop listener, but Adam, I am a HUGE fan now!!!
I also spoke with the guys at Comic Geek Speak, they were friendly, funny and just plain fun! They guys at Comic Geek Speak run a daily podcast about comics and all things comic related. I consider them an authority on all things comic!
There are many people I interviewed at Emerald City Comicon, so make sure to tune in!
This is Charlie, a great dude from “across the pond” (The UK). I love his YouTube videos and this happens to be one of my favorites! So check it out and make sure to subscribe to Charlie!
You can tell that Charlie watches a lot of American Cinema by the way that he pronounces things. Also Thanks Charlie for helping to raise money for UNICEF at Stickaid!
The letter of the day is “C” and the number of the day is “6″! C is for comics, that’s good enough for me! 6 is the number of Sesame Street “heroes” featured on this awesome shirt!
The Sesame Six T-Shirt
While it’s not an actual comic book yet, I think it might have some potential! Oscar the Grouch looks pretty bad and Elmo as the Human Torch is pretty awesome too! It looks like Big Bird steps in as Mr. Fantastic and Cookie Monster is The Thing. I can’t wait to sport my shirt around town! AJ Paglia, the artist of this great t-shirt, had an idea to mash-up Sesame Street and the Fantastic Four.
