There are some songs that I listen to put me in a good mood no matter how grumpy and sad or whatever you are. Here’s my list!
Good Mood Songs:
- RuPaul: Supermodel (You can’t help but get a little pep in your step on that one! You better work!)
- Jem: It’s Amazing (An awesome empowering song!!!)
- The Chemical Brothers: Let Forever Be (good to groove to!)
- Jackson 5: ABC (oldie but goodie!)
- Siuxie and the Banshees: Dear Prudence (best remake of this song EVER!!!)
- Kool and the Gang: Carwash (again, oldie but goodie!)
- Eninem: Without Me (sometimes it’s nice to know someone else is pissy too!)
- The O.C. Supertones: Jury Duty (a mutual bad day can be a good thing)
- Madonna: Material Girl (ok, what Gen X’er has not lipsynced to this one!)
- Aretha Franklin: RESPECT (come now, you KNOW you have sung this one a time or too!)
- Stray Cats: Rock This Town (too good to pass up!)
- Amy Winehouse: Rehab (Love her Aretha-like quality!)
- Dee-Lite: Groove is in the Heart (This is one of my ALL time favorite songs!)
- Bloodhound Gang: The Bad Touch (okay, if this song doesn’t make you laugh, you need to get your sense of humor checked)
- They Might Be Giants: Birdhouse in Your Soul
I hope you enjoy my list! I am always up for new music, so if you have some favorites, let me know!!! If you would like to share your list, I would love it!

Brad & I signed up at Gold’s Gym today and I couldn’t be happier! After trying to juggle my DVD workouts between naps and kid-related interupptions, I realized that it just wasn’t working for me! I need a place where I can go and just get in the zone without my kids bugging me. (I love my kids, I really do!) We stopped at our local Gold’s Gym and met with Kari and learned more about Gold’s Gym.
Let me just preface by saying that although I worked at a gym (YMCA) for 3 & 1/2 years, I was still intimidated by Gold’s Gym. For some stupid reason I got it into my head that Gold’s is the place for SERIOUS bodybuilders only and the weak or unskilled (or flabby) need not apply. Boy, was I wrong! First off, let me say that Kari was the perfect person to take us on the tour, because she was built, but not intimidating. (If she had been bleach blonde with the perfect tan and perfect body, I would have barfed and then walked out! You know what I’m talking about!) The people at Gold’s were friendly and totally not intimidating (yea!!!). So, we signed up and I am really excited to get going on my workouts! I am ready to take back my life and feel confident and sexy to boot!
I will be posting a photo of my progress monthly more for my benefit than for everyone else, however if my weight loss and toning up encourages someone else, then awesome! But let me tell you, posting this LOVELY before photo is really humbling, so be kind please!

My Before Photo (8/2010)
I have a call with Tracy Liebman on Monday morning and I am really looking forward to it! Tracy Liebman is a lifecoach that primarily works with moms. I feel that I so desperately need this call! I am unorganized and frustrated! Plus being a Type B personality totally does not help in this situation, as sometimes, I just don’t care. I tend to just fly by the seat of my pants! But life is not always conducive to this and it shows in my frustration.
I feel like I am on the outside looking in at my life and I sometimes, I just want to scream! My house is cluttered, my life seems cluttered and I am fed up about it. So I am reall hoping that Tracy will have some great ideas to help me get life in order!!! I’ll let you know how it goes!

KFC Goes Green!
In the latest news… KFC goes green! KFC has now launched a reusable line of containers for their food items. These can be put into the dishwasher (top rack of course) and reused over and over. I was also told that they will now (at least at my local KFC) that they will be composting their food waste as well. Bold move for the Colonel, but a good one! So now when you buy that yummy chicken, you can be happy knowing that they are doing a part to help the environment. Baby steps are still steps in the right direction after all!
Okay, I usually don’t take the time to read the spam comments, but every once in a while, you get one that is so off the wall! I am VERY glad for Askimet and it’s lovely spam comment killer, without it, my blog would be full of crap comments!
Then there are the comments that seem like they aren’t spam, except that they are posted for the TOTALLY wrong blog post! Oy, when are spammers going to learn to stop being SO dumb!
