I just finished one of the funnier books I have ever read! The World According to Twitter by David Pogue. David, a New York Times Personal Tech Columnist tapped into the minds of his 500,000 million Twitter followers for answers to some great and funny questions. Such as, change 1 letter of a familiar title: Star Wart: THe real reason Vader wears a mask.
This book challenges the way that we look at social media and each other. Twitter, like other social media outlets, can receive a bad rap due to people who feel the need to post what they had for lunch. However, this project shows that we can connect and have fun with social media outlets and even learn a thing or two about each other, all in 140 characters or less.
I haven’t had a lot to laugh about lately, so when I poured into this book, I laughed harder than I can remember! I can’t wait to share this great book with friends and family who also need a pick me up.

Most people who know me know that I try to live a relatively “green” lifestyle. So when a good friend of mine gave me this bottle for Sarah, I knew it would be awesome! I love the Green-To-Grow line! My favorite is the wide necked large bottle. It holds 10 ozs, which is hard to find! Plus, the size of the wide necked bottle is great for Sarah to hold on to, since that is a new skill she is trying to learn!
I also love this company! They have a great program called Bottles to Babies. This is a great program for moms in need of bottle who can’t afford them! I love this program and think it is a great idea to not only recycle your bottles, but knowing that you are helping someone else too!
I was purusing through some of my favorite websites, when I stumbled across this bit of info: if you have a 2nd Gen iPod Touch, you can use the Skype application and use it as a phone in your wifi areas! Not bad! Especially since both Brad & I use it for our regular and business phone lines.
Just a bit of information I thought you couldn’t live without!
So, if you are a college student and you need a new Mac, make sure to take up the free iPod Touch offer! Now, first make sure that you understand this: you get the iPod Touch (8GB) for free via rebate, so you do have to fork over the dough first, but in less than a month, you get the money back. Perfect timing for your credit card bill payment!
I ordered my hubby’s Mac Book Pro and his iPod Touch and am just awaiting for them to show up. I have to admit, I am pretty jealous of the whole iPod Touch thing. Granted, I could be a total wanker and steal the iPod Touch for myself, but then that would create marital strife and etc and it’s just not worth it.
Eventually when I make the big bucks, then I will get the cool stuff too!
