Kaluba,

For me, on this issue, race doesn't matter to me. She could be any nationality and it would bother me. It's the situation that she put herself in and what others now have to help her do that bothers me. I am a mom and I don't rely on help from others. I am not saying that if someone needs help that they should not get it! I am a firm believer in doing what you have to do to take care of your family. Yes, there have been times when I have gone the the food bank because we could barely afford groceries. That was before kids, however.

I realize that she did not intend to have all eight kids at once, but I think that if she is struggling financially with 5 kids as it is, why would you want to even bring another child into that situation?

How is she going to afford things like college or the basic things that kids needs to thrive and survive in this world? That is one of the jobs as a parent, to get your kids ready for the world when they leave the nest. Can she do that?

I appreciate your comment, I do know people that are hung up on the race issue with regards to Nadya, but I am definitely not one of them!
