“Together” Music Video

I loved this Jon & Kate + 8 video!

Jon & Kate + 8

Lately, I have gotten into the show Jon & Kate +8 on the TLC channel. Jon & Kate have a set of twins plus a set of sextuplets. I am amazed at how well they manage that household. Granted, they have help, but still, I am pretty convinced that I would lose my mind!

The sextuplets are three months older than my daughter, so it is nice to see how they deal with some of the personality and discipline issues that I am having as well. Anyway, if you get a chance, check it out!

Netflix Woes

Argh! So, I received an email from Netflix the other day that aggravated me! I have been a Netflix customer for over 5 years and love them! I recommend them to everyone that I know. What I love most about Netflix is that you can create different queues for family members. I had a queue, Brad (hubby) had a queue and Sophia (kiddo) had a queue. It was great! Sophia was so excited every time that she got a movie in the mail addressed to her!

Well, here’s the new info I got in my email.

Netflix

Dear Kristi,

We wanted to let you know we will be eliminating Profiles, the feature that allowed you to set up separate DVD Queues under one account, effective September 1, 2008.

Each additional Profile Queue will be unavailable after September 1, 2008. Before then, we recommend you consolidate any of your Profile Queues to your main account Queue or print them out.

While it may be disappointing to see Profiles go away, this change will help us continue to improve the Netflix website for all our customers.

If you have any questions, please go to http://www.netflix.com/Help?p_faqid=3962 or call us anytime at 1 (888) 638-3549. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Can you see why I might be frustrated? I really like having the different queues and now they are eliminating them! It almost makes me want to jump ship to Blockbuster!

Catherine Tate vs. David Tennant

Okay, so those Doctor Who fans out there, this is sure to bring a laugh!

Philip’s Plasma with Ambilighting

When my husband and I bought our house here is Smokey Point, I noticed that our TV was lacking. Big time! So, with proceeds from the sale of our house, my husband and I went TV shopping. My husband, bless his heart, was looking at a 42′ LCD. But, I had done my research. I wanted a Philip’s plasma with Abilighting.

So, at Best Buy, my husband wandered around looking at various LCD TVs. But, like the Holy Grail, I stood in front of the most beautiful TV ever created, a 47" Philip’s Plasma with Ambilighting. My husband kept trying to get me to look at over TVs, but every time, I stood my ground and said "No, that one" pointing at this magnificent beauty. (Now, I’m not a big one for going against my husband, but this TV was mine!)

What’s so great about it? Well, the Ambilighiting technology is so easy on your eyes. Ambilighting projects the colors seen on the screen to the sides of the TV, creating a colorful glow. This would seem like a dumb thing to get all jazzed up about, but believe me, when it is dark and you are watching a movie, it is so nice on the eyes. Brad and I tried turning it off during a movie, but we immediately turned it back on. If you don’t believe me, try it out for yourself! It’s especially fun to watch Pixar movies on!

I’m a Marvel, I’m a DC, Part two

Here is the Iron Man/Batman parody! Enjoy!

Batman Sweater

Okay, so a friend of mine is having a baby boy. His favorite comic book character is Batman. I am making a Batman sweater for the little tyke. I thought that finding a pattern for this would be a challenge, but thank’s to Knitgrrl, I found a pattern! So, any other geek knitters can now enjoy!

Thanks  Knitgrrl!

Mass Effect

Okay, so I will be the first to admit, I love to play the Xbox 360, but I am not a fan of shooter games. Thanks to the help of Ken and Patrick! (Give a girl a chance to respawn and move, don’t just frag her!)

So, I am currently hooked on Mass Effect. It’s an RPG (role playing game) with some shooting involved. What I love about it is that is like a choose your own adventure story. (If you don’t know what this is, ask someone over the age of 30.) The artwork is gorgeous as you can see below. Plus, it’s great to hear the celebrity voices of Seth Green and Keith David!

Of course, the best way to enjoy this game with the lights out andon a Philips 47" Plasma with Amblighting! But we’ll talk more about the tv later, for now, enjoy the game!
