Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull, Part Two

WOW!!! I don’t even know where to begin. This movie was so monumentally bad that I wish that I could get my $12 back!!!!!!

Here is a list of the movies that this movie stole from:

  • The Mummy Returns
  • Independence Day
  • Them
  • Close Encounters of the Third Kind
  • Tarzan
  • National Treasure 2
  • Transformers

Did George lose his mind? I firmly believe that George should just stick to the originals, don’t go back and film the prequels, don’t add to the trilogies. LEAVE IT ALONE!!! Oh, and by the way, George, if you set it in a time period, make sure you choose the right cars, landscapes and clothing!

So, if you have the need to throw away $12, burn it instead, you’ll get better enjoyment of that versus wasting two of your life that YOU WILL NEVER GET BACK!

Low tech

There are some things that no matter how great technology has improved, I still continue to use the low-tech way. For instance, my planner. I know that there are a ton of great ways to stay organized by using great web tools such as I Want Sandy. It is a great program that is a total organizer, she can send text messages to your phone for reminders, send out emails and etc. It was great I tried it for a while and loved it, but the thing is if you don’t stay on top of inputting your appointments, it doesn’t really help. I tried using Google Calendar, but yet again, it only worked for awhile.

See, my biggest problem is that most of the appointments I make are when I am out and about and not even near a computer. With my personality, if I don’t write it down, I am screwed! So yesterday, I went to Target and bought an old fashioned planner by Franklin Covey. I have written all of my appointments in it and I am a happy girl! For me, sometimes things are better in low-tech.

Calling all Zelda fans!

For all you Legend of Zelda fans that have been screaming for a Zelda movie, you are in luck! While surfing the web, I came upon this trailer and just had to share it with you!

Now you will probably hate me, but I haven’t played Zelda since 1988. I know, I am a horrible person! Please forgive me! But nonethless, I am excited about seeing this movie. It looks great. From what I have gathered, the movie is in post-production with an April 1, 2009 release date!

Indy’s Fourth Movie

Well, my husband, daughter and I are going to pack up and head to the drive-in to see Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull tonight along with Iron Man. (This will be the second time that I have seen Iron Man, but I don’t care!)

I am a bit skeptical about the fourth installment of the Indiana Jones series. Hopefully it will be good. The reason I am skeptical is due to the Star Wars franchise. I already mentioned that I wasn’t happy with Episodes 1, 2, & 3. I figure why mess with a good thing? I will just have to wait and see how it is. Here’s the trailer, decide for your self!

Josh Medor’s Benefit Auction

Josh Medor is someone that I have never met. However, I feel somewhat connected to him. This year at Emerald City Comicon a benefit auction was held for Josh. I was only in charge of monetary transactions, but still a sense of pride that people could come together to help someone in need. Josh is fighting a rare cancer in his back. "The Hero Initiative is the first-ever federally chartered not-for-profit corporation dedicated strictly to helping comic book creators in need. Hero creates a financial safety net for yesterdays’ creators who may need emergency medical aid, financial support for essentials of life, and an avenue back into paying work. It’s a chance for all of us to give back something to the people who have given us so much enjoyment."

They are currently hosting three EBay auctions to help aid Josh’s fight with cancer. You can help!!! The EBay Auction sites can be found by clicking the EBay link.

Please help our comic book writers and artists!

I am the 12th Cylon!

Okay, so the last Cylon is unknown. Just when I thought that I had a clue as to who the 12th cylon is, that is until SciFi Channel released the "Last Supper" picture. I thought that the 12th cylon was either Kara "Starbuck" Thrace or President Laura Roslin.

Starbuck was a pretty good guess, seeing that her Viper blew up in episode Maelstrom, and she suddenly returns and says that she’s been to Earth. Let’s not forget all the hobnobbing with Leoban Conroy, also known as Number Two. But, her picture is clearly with her husband, Samuel Anders who just so happens to be one of the final five Cylons.

Then there is President Laura Roslin. During the last few episodes of Season Three (Crossroads episode to be exact), she has a dream that she and Sharon Agathon are pursuing Hera Agathon in the Opera House on Kobol, only to have Hera snatched up by Caprica-Six. Roslin then confronts Sharon and Caprica-Six to confirm the common dream. Hmm, dreaming the same thing as two Cylons? Sounds like Roslin could be a Cylon. Yet again, she is sitting on the left side looking at Admiral Adama one could speculate.

Take a look at the picture and see if you could guess who number 12 is!

Star Wars Clone War Trailer!!!

I watched Attack of the Show on G4TV and saw this video! I am excited about this new Star Wars movie. It is fully animated and looks pretty good. At first I was sceptical, since I wasn’t the biggest fan of Episode I, II, and III. They were okay, but not as good as the originals, Episode 4, 5, and 6, for you younglings. This movie will hopefully renew my faith in the Star Wars franchise. I hope that you enjoy the trailer and may the force be with you! (Corny, I know!)

Phew! Finals are over!

Well, I have finished my first two classes! This may not seem like such a geeky post, but I attend class online. I really enjoy it! I like that if I want to, I can do all of my assignments for the week right away, then just check in throughout the week for my participation points. I attend school at Axia College. I really enjoy that the classroom setting is an easy format. Class work is either forum style or to your individual forum that only you and the instructor have access to. For geeks like me, it’s perfect.

More to come…

I apologize for the lack of posting this week. I have finals for this college quarter. Hey 30 is never too late to go back to school! I promise that I will be posting more to come!

Iron Man

So, today I was browsing the Iron Man official website and I saw the icon labeled fan art. I happened to come across this adorable, opps, well manly picture drawn by a 4 year old of Iron Man. Couldn’t resist!
